Warren Jewell | Retired Computer Consultant

Following graduation from the University of Washington with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Warren worked as a petroleum engineer for Mobil Oil on projects from Alaska to Oklahoma and California to Michigan. After returning to Seattle, he started Jewell Technologies Inc., a software development firm, initially focused on the oil and gas industry. The business evolved into development of software utilities and later consulting services to a wide variety of software companies.

Looking for new challenges in the mid-1990’s, the Jewells started a microbrewery with family in Michigan. Beyond building the brewery, Warren coordinated the marketing and packaging of the beer in the new and growing micro-beer market. After five years, the brewery was sold and Warren returned to the software industry to provide computer services, website development, and business consulting primarily to non-profit and small businesses.

Throughout his career he has served on the boards of several non-profit organizations, and continues his lifelong interest in aviation, piloting his Beechcraft A36TC to transport non-emergency medical patients from rural communities to major medical centers for treatment.

He and Sally have two children, three grandchildren, one golden retriever and enjoy sailing, flying, and hiking around the country and beyond.
