We offer accommodations for families of children receiving treatment at Seattle Children’s Hospital.

Eligibility

Rooms at the Seattle House are provided on a space-available basis to families who meet the following requirements:

  • Your child must be admitted to or receiving treatment at Seattle Children’s Hospital or one of Children’s satellite clinics
  • Your child must be 21 years of age or younger.
  • The patient must have a home address that is at least 45 miles away from the Seattle Ronald McDonald House.
  • Your stay must be 4 nights or more and families are prioritized by length of stay.

The patient, parents, guardians, caregivers and other immediate family members are welcome to stay. Siblings are also welcome to stay as long as there are 2 adult caregivers staying and/or there is a a safety plan in place to ensure siblings will be supervised at all times while at RMHC. Only one room is provided to each family, and the maximum occupancy per room is 6 in House A and 4 in C. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult relative or legal guardian, and all patients (even those over 18 years old) must have a caregiver on-site.

For your health, all families are screened to prevent infectious diseases being brought into the House. The safety of our families is very important. A photo ID and a safety screening check are required of all overnight adult guests.

If you meet these eligibility requirements, click here to Apply to Stay.

As our Seattle House is normally full, we recommend families also consult Seattle Children’s Hospital’s Guest Services department. For more places to stay, including hotels and other nonprofits, please consult this list.
