We need your help to provide a happy, healthy, smooth-running home that’s fully stocked with food, toiletries, cleaning supplies and games for the many families that stay with us. We need a lot of the same items you need at your house but only in larger quantities. If you are interested in providing items for our House in Alaska, we have a different Amazon Registry specifically for that House!

Items Especially Needed (updated 3/27/2017)

Volunteers bring bagged donated goods to the House

  • Toasters
  • Size 4/5 diapers
  • Hairdryers
  • 5 or 6 quart pots
  • Toiletries: we are very low on full-size and travel-sizes of toothpaste, body wash, shampoo, shower gel, conditioner, etc. We also need razors, shaving cream, and mouthwash.
  • Baby Items: We are in need of several items for babies, including:
    • Formula
    • Baby food
    • Baby wipes
  • Forever stamps, packing tape
  • Mandarin oranges, canned pineapple
  • Non-condensed beef soup
  • Turkey and vegetarian chili
  • Baked beans (15 oz. cans)
  • Canned pasta
  • Popcorn

In-Kind Donations

The House is happy to accept your in-kind donations of much-needed items, labor, services or products but cannot accept used items. All toys and children’s products must be new, unopened, and non-toxic.

Year Round Needs

One of the best ways to support our families throughout the year is by donating items that will make their stay the most comfortable and cozy as possible. We need a lot of the same items you need at your house, but in larger quantities: food, toiletries, cleaning supplies, games, and more. Our ongoing food and house needs are listed below or you can easily buy an item for us through our Amazon Wishlist.

Pantry Goods

All canned goods should be 16 oz. or smaller; we cannot accept food from personal pantries

  • Canned fruit: peaches, pears, fruit cocktail, pineapple, mandarin oranges
  • Canned meats: salmon, SPAM, chicken, and beef, no tuna needed at this time
  • Top Ramen or Cup-a-Noodle
  • Canned ravioli (like Chef Boyardee)
  • Boxed rice and pasta meal helpers (i.e., Pasta Roni, Hamburger Helper, Rice Roni)
  • Non condensed canned soups: beef, minestrone, vegetable. No chicken noodle needed at this time.
  • Canned chili: regular, turkey, chicken, vegetarian
  • Pasta sauce: alfredo and marinara (14.5 oz. cans)
  • Boxed cereal
  • Snacks: granola/snack bars; fruit cups; fruit snacks; trail mix; raisins; applesauce cups or pouches; individually packaged chips/crackers; microwave popcorn

  • Full size and travel size body wash

At Ronald McDonald House Charities of Western Washington & Alaska, we support seriously ill children and their families. At the Seattle House, we provide a "home-away-from-home" to help families through a difficult time.
