Ronald McDonald House Charities of Western Washington & Alaska is a nonprofit 501 (c)(3) organization. We rely on the generosity of the local private sector. With an operating budget of $3.8 million to maintain and operate the House every day of the year, we depend on many individuals, corporations and foundations for our continued existence.
In the Community
We’re a solid investment in the local community, but also as a charity: 78% of every dollar goes towards serving our residents. We are strongly supported by our local neighborhood and the larger Seattle area community, particularly through employee matching programs. For over 35 years, we have been the housing partner for Seattle Children’s Hospital and we thank them for their unflagging support.
Local McDonald’s customers, restaurant owner/operators, and the McDonald’s Corporation fund around 22% of our annual operating costs. This funding includes in-store canister donations and newspaper sales, promotions and annual gifts from McDonald’s restaurant owner/operators.
