WARM 106.9’s Day of Giving for Ronald McDonald House
On November 29th, listen to WARM 106.9 for their special Day of Giving for Ronald McDonald House! In between playing holiday favorites, WARM’s DJs will be helping raise money for the House. We have a goal of raising $20,000 in just one day, so tell your friends and family to tune in.
Alan and Ashley from WARM 106.9 stopped by the House earlier in the month to talk with families who are staying here, like:
- Eva’s family, who is here from Idaho so Eva could receive a heart transplant only a few days after being born. Even though Eva’s condition (hypoplastic left heart syndrome) is rare, they have been comforted by meeting several other families with the same condition.
- Ruben’s family, who came here from Florida so he could receive treatment for a rare autoimmune disorder. Thanks to the House, their family can stay together and help support him during an experimental drug trial.
- Jacob’s family is here with him while he recovers from ALL, a type of leukemia. The House has helped them find normalcy in time when everything has been overwhelming.
With your help, we can continue to serve more than 400 families a year who have a seriously ill child. When you donate, you help ensure these families can be together, near the hospital and their child’s medical team, during this difficult journey. Your contribution – no matter how big or small – makes a huge difference in the lives of the families we help.
How to donate:
Donations can be made online at www.rmhcseattle.org/warm or by texting 206.488.0600.
Why give on November 29?
The 29th is #GivingTuesday, a national day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. It’s celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving (in the U.S.) and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday. #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving.
