Scholarships

Selection Criteria

Students are selected and awards are distributed based on demonstrated academic achievement, financial need and community involvement.

In 2008, 40 scholarships of $2,500 each will be awarded to qualifying high school seniors. These scholarships are funded by the McDonald’s Western Washington Operators Association and matched by global Ronald McDonald House Charities, Inc. The RMHC National Scholarship Program is comprised of four individual scholarship programs including: RMHC/Asian Students Increasing Achievement (ASIA), RMHC/African American Future Achievers, RMHC/Hispanic American Commitment to Educational Resources (HACER), and RMHC Scholars.

There are two ways to apply

1. Apply online for any of the RMHC National Scholarship Programs. Please note that you will still need to submit the required attachments to Scholarship Program Administrators by February 15, 2008 by mail. These attachments include: certified high school transcript, personal statement, letter of recommendation and IRS Form 1040. The Access Code is RMHC. Call 866-851-3994 for assistance with the online application.

2. Download and print the 2007-08 RMHC National Scholarship Program Application, complete the application and mail in with required supporting documents by February 15, 2008. Applications must be sent to: RMHC National Scholarship Program, Scholarship Program Administrators, P.O. Box 22376, Nashville, TN 37202.

The deadline for the 2007-08 academic year is February 15, 2008.
