On February 21, hockey players from throughout the Puget Sound area gathered on the ice for Hockey Challenge 2015, presented by the Seattle Thunderbirds. The 17th annual event delighted players and fans alike, all while raising more than $190,000 in much needed funds for RMHC! Celebrities and Thunderbirds alumni even joined in the fun, treating the crowd at ShoWare Center in Kent to a thrilling All Star Game.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to the Seattle Thunderbirds for their continuing partnership and generous donation of time and resources that make this event possible. Thanks also to the local hockey teams who competed during the day. Teams of players from Microsoft included DevDiv, Exchange, MSIT, Team Xbox, Windows, and Xbox Live. Concur, @NHLtoSeattle, as well as two women’s teams, Katie’s Krushers and Manny’s Mayhem, also hit the ice. The friendly on-ice battle was a fun and rewarding conclusion to months of fundraising and hard work by the players and captains, all in support of RMHC.
