The 16th annual RMHC Hockey Challenge, presented by the Seattle Thunderbirds, raised a whopping $200,000! Local hockey players, celebrities and Thunderbirds alumni treated the crowd at ShoWare Center in Kent to a full day of hockey to help raise much needed funds for the Seattle Ronald McDonald House on February 22. A heartfelt thank you to the Seattle Thunderbirds for their continuing partnership and generous donation of time and resources that make this event possible. Thanks also to the local hockey teams who competed during the day. Teams of players from Microsoft included DevDiv, Exchange, IEB - Canada, IEB - USA, MS IT, Windows, XBox Live, as well a team from Concur. Two women’s teams, Lucille’s Lightning and Manny’s Mayhem also hit the ice. The friendly on-ice battle was a fun and rewarding conclusion to months of fundraising and hard work by the players and captains, all in support of RMHC. The event also featured an All Star game and lively silent auction. All Stars included local media personalities Bill Wixey, Ian Furness, BJ Shea, "Topshelf" and Steve the Producer; plus numerous Thunderbirds and NHL alumni.
Special thanks to our generous sponsors:
