Welcome to RMHC
At Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Western Washington & Alaska (RMHC), we support seriously ill children and their families. At the Seattle Ronald McDonald House, we provide a “home-away-from-home” to help families through a difficult time. We also provide a van service for families staying in Anchorage while their children receive medical care.
WHAT'S NEW AT THE HOUSE:
RMHC Day of Change
Please join us for the RMHC Day of Change
on September 9, 2010 when RMHC
supporters are encouraged to drop their spare change
in a donation box at any McDonald's store (look for
them at the counter or drive-thru). The nickels, dimes
and quarters donated last year added up to more than
$19 million! All that change made it possible for Ronald McDonald House Charities to keep 4 million sick children and their families together in communities across the country.... And sick children cope better and heal faster when surrounded by their family. To learn more and show your support, visit the event facebook page here.
Join us for an Outdoor Movie in the Park
On August 27, Metropolitan Market Sand Point will host
an outdoor showing of Cloudy with a Chance of
Meatballs at the Burke Gilman Park next door to the
store. All proceeds benefit the Ronald McDonald
House Charities of Western Washington & Alaska.
Entertainment and food begins at 7:00pm; movie
starts at 8:30pm. Suggested donation is $5 per person
or $10 per family.
Kids Help Kids During the Summer of Change
The House is challenging community area
children ages three to seventeen to collect change this
summer for the Seattle Ronald McDonald House.
Funds raised will help families staying at
the House. More details and a registration form
are available here. Every child who raises money for
the House will be entered to win a special lunch with
Ronald McDonald himself!
Serve up dinner at the Ronald McDonald House!
Each week generous companies, community groups and organizations come into the House to prepare dinner for our families. The meal program is much appreciated by families and is a hands-on opportunity to make a difference at the House. To learn more about participating, please contact Eleanor Garrison, Volunteer Services, at (206) 838-0621.
